Dr. William Weston (1874-1962) was the first pediatrician in
the Southeast. Dr. Weston and his son, Dr. William Weston Jr. (1898-1994)
practiced for over 50 years as a father and son office. Dr. Weston
Jr. retired in 1977.
Dr. S. Nelson Weston, a third generation
pediatrician, and Dr. Charles A. James formed Sandhills Pediatrics
as a partnership in 1975. Dr.
James began his practice in 1960. Dr. Weston began his practice
of pediatrics in 1967.
Dr. James and Dr. Weston were joined in 1976
by Dr. William G. Taylor, in 1989 by Dr. Kevin O. Wessinger and
in 1993 by Dr. Michael
T. Finch,
Jr. Currently we have fourteen pediatricians, all of whom are certified
by the American Board of Pediatrics, to serve the needs of your
children.
